Last week’s Venture Day Madrid was action packed.
The Ambassador to USA in Spain, Alan D. Solomont, was named Distinguished Visiting Professor at IE University. The award was presented to the Ambassador after he had a conversation/interview (pictured above) with Juan José Güemes, President of IE’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
The crowd funding platform FundedByMe announced its expansion into Spain and partnership with IE Business School. They’ll set up their Madrid location in IE’s Area 31.
And last but not least, a team of BBA students from IE University won the Venture Lab contest with Tyba, a professional network for students and young professionals. In fact, this was the first year that undergrad students competed in the business plan competition. And they won! The MBAs have some competition from here on out.
