The Social Responsibility Forum is the largest student-run event on the IE Business School campus and if you are interested in CSR, sustainability, and making a difference in the world, this is the conference to attend.
This year marked the 7th edition of SRF, run in coordination with the IE Net Impact club, and the general theme was “Shared ImpACT,” highlighting how individuals and companies play a role in sustainability.
The two-day event kicked off with a keynote from Gabi Zedlmayer, Vice President of Sustainability and Social Innovation at HP. The following day, participants attended various workshops, choosing between sessions such as “Making Supply Chains Sustainable” moderated by Professor Amrou Awaysheh, “Shaping the Leaders of Tomorrow” moderated by Changing Our World’s Justin Goldbach, and “The New Food: Innovation and Sustainable Agriculture” moderated by ERM’s Marcos Gallego.
The forum came to a close with a truly interactive session led by Debra Wheat, who is Executive Director of The Oath Project and pictured in the above photo as the still figure in the swirl of participants. Her “Shared Impact Workshop” sought to tie together the forum’s ideas, participants, speakers, and goals. As you can see from The Oath Project’s twitter photo, some silent sharing allowed everyone to talk at once.
