Last week, IE hosted the third annual “Reinventing Higher Education” conference. The two day event focused on the trends and challenges facing education today, and how universities can push towards the future.
The panel pictured above was titled “New Educational Landscapes: Changes in Players, Stakeholders, and Technologies” and featured (left to right) IE Business School’s Paolo Quattrone (who served as moderator); Annie Lin of the Wikipedia Foundation; Pat Killingley from the British Council; Carlos Cruz Limón of Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico; Kenneth Wong from Brown University; and Michele Petochi from the World Economic Forum.
Lin, who is the Education Program Manager for Wikipedia, talked about how schools at all levels can effectively collaborate with Wikipedia – a site which was created to be a resource, not a source… “People should not cite Wikipedia as a source,” she said.
